It has been a couple of weeks now since I got some news. I think that is the main reason I haven't posted in so long. I still just don't know what to say, what to think, what to do. I have just been processing through all of the information, my thoughts, feelings, life ramifications.
And after weeks of thinking, I haven't come to a conclusion about the whole thing. I don't think I ever will. While Truth is never mercurial, truth is sometimes difficult to find, buried under people's perspectives - both mental and geographical. Also, truths are sometimes difficult to reconcile with one another. Can a and b both be true when they seem to be utterly contradictory? When does experience color and change truth?
I don't know.

You could start with this truth - Jupiter.
Thanks, Tommy, I had it like that, and then changed it. I will change it back
Are we talking about "truth' or "sincerity?" Someone can be sincerely wrong - from their perspective they are speaking truth, but their perspective of reality doesn't line up with reality. For instance, I can sincerely believe that there is a football game going on in my television.
experience doesn't change truth, it only changes how you view it.
I'm probably a little too postmodern for your crowd, but sometimes I think chucking the "Law of Non-contradiction" is a good idea when it comes to the "truth" of people. Whether the apple is red or not . . .that is a different story. But the complexities of humans are far beyond the color of fruit.
Okay, I want to respond to Anonymous, but I find it hard since I don't know who you are. I am talking about more than just perspective or sincerity, but actual accounts. that probably doesn't clear things up, sorry.
Al--I wanted to clarify and apologize for my "too postmodern for your crowd" comment. My post was a knee-jerk reaction to the comment of "anonymous." I personally really appreciated your post, and think it's a great source for reflection and contemplation . . .the truth (whatever it is) is messy. I fully value you acknowledging this and giving it the thought it deserves.
No offense at all. I understood everything you said. See you Friday
